Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of eubudget.com. By accessing the site you accept these terms.
Nature of the service
eubudget.com is a free, non-commercial, personal information project providing data and analysis on the European Union budget for educational and journalistic purposes. The site is open to anyone, requires no registration, and is offered as is.
Source of data and methodology
Figures published on eubudget.com are derived from official European Union sources, in particular the EU Financial Reports published by DG Budget (Operating Budgetary Balances series) and Eurostat datasets on population and Gross National Income. Source citations are provided on the Methodology page and on each country page.
The European Commission publishes its statistical and budgetary documents under reuse Decision 2011/833/EU and the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence where applicable. The aggregated and reformatted dataset displayed on eubudget.com is itself made available under the same CC BY 4.0 licence: you may freely reuse, redistribute, and adapt it provided you cite "eubudget.com" and the original EU source.
Accuracy and disclaimer of warranties
The operator makes reasonable efforts to ensure that the data displayed are accurate and aligned with the official source at the date of import. However eubudget.com is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranty, express or implied, including without limitation warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, timeliness, or non-infringement.
Numerical values may be subject to revision by the original publishers. Preliminary annual figures (notably for the most recent fiscal year) may differ from the final consolidated figures published months later. You must not rely on data from this site for legal, financial, fiscal, or policy decisions without independent verification against the primary source.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Italian and European law, in no event shall the operator be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the site, the data, or any service linked from it, even if the operator has been advised of the possibility of such damages. This limitation does not exclude liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory law, such as liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence.
Acceptable use
You may use eubudget.com for any lawful purpose. You may not attempt to disrupt the service, scrape the site at a rate that imposes an unreasonable load on the infrastructure, or use the site or its data for any activity that is unlawful in the jurisdiction from which you connect or in Italy.
Intellectual property
The "EUBudget" name and logo, the editorial articles published in the blog section, and the original presentation, code, and visual design of the site are the property of the EUBudget project and are made available, where applicable, under the licence indicated on each work. The aggregated dataset is licensed under CC BY 4.0 as described above. The underlying raw data remain subject to the licences and notices of the original EU publishers.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Italian Republic. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent Italian court, save for any non-waivable consumer protection rules that grant you the right to sue at your place of residence.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated. The most recent revision date is shown at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
